When an international conflict breaks out when China invades Taiwan, the British set up their own AI program to aid in the war effort. After one particular success inspired by their AI in which the Chinese lose many men, the lead robotics specialist is mysteriously found dead. It's seems inconceivable that any of the team's leading scientists could have committed murder and many of them believe that it was a case of suicide. With the team totally committed to robotics and artificial intelligence, there is opposition when the government ask Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Dr Watson to start the investigation and lead with the help of MI6. Holmes is cynical about AI's forensic expertise and is out to show that human intelligence can beat any artificial version. Who wins this battle of wits and solves the mystery?
